In FY 2011, the Community Action Agency's Health Care Clinic provided medical care during approximately 3,350 patient visits; a total of 243 low income individuals received prescription medications valued at $201,649 through the Medbank Program. Learn more by downloading our annual report.

Needed Items and Assistance

The Frederick Community Action Agency is seeking the following donations to assist people that are low-income or homeless. Please consider making a donation or organizing a collection drive. The following is a list of items or assistance needed to support our programs.

Frederick Foodbank

Non-perishable foods such as canned fruits and vegetables, canned meats and fishes, juices and drinks, pasta products, canned soups, rice and other staples. Frozen foods such as meats and vegetables are also accepted. The Foodbank also needs personal hygiene supplies and childcare items such as shampoo, towels, washcloths, razors, shaving cream, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, disposable diapers, and baby food. Frederick Soup Kitchen

Institutional-sized canned foods (#10 cans) such as fruits, vegetables, and meats; and, prepared foods that may be leftover from parties and banquets (donations from restaurants and caterers are also accepted).


Volunteers are currently needed to assist with Foodbank operations or help with serving and cleaning-up in the Soup Kitchen. For information about volunteer opportunities please contact Chris Bard, Supervisor of Food and Nutrition Services at 301-600-3972.
